Roger started his career in HVAC. Once he found out about the benefits of reconditioning RV refrigerators he opened his own business in 1984 and has been reconditioning ever since. In an attempt to help the consumer save money and receive the best warranty possible, he and Onna Lee started training others in this field. In addition to training, Roger offers local sales and service for RV's.

If you want unsurpassed refrigeration training from the best ammonia refrigeration training center in the country, you've come to the right place.

Roger and Onna Lee Ford have been married for thirty-two years. They believe in the importance of providing quality service at a fair price. Their business, Ford RV Refrigeration, began operation in 1984. Along with the extensive RV service they provide, they also offer certified training in the field of RV refrigerator cooling unit reconditioning. In 1990, they began advocating “Going Green” with RV refrigerators and began training RV refrigerator repair and cooling unit reconditioning to others throughout the USA and other countries in an attempt to make this service available to all RV owners. In 1994, they wrote The Ford Procedures, the first step-by-step technical manual on RV refrigerator repair and reconditioning; it’s used in conjunction with the training they offer. In November 2005, their business, home, vehicles, and all belongings were completely destroyed by a tornado with over 200mph winds. In May 2006, they reopened their doors, were awarded Business of the Month by the Chamber of Commerce, became members of the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association, and increased their training to include certification. In 2007, they began advocating the “Go Green” movement in the RV industry, developed the RVRN Association which networks those who have received their certification training, became members of the Better Business Bureau Association, and became Kentucky State RV inspectors. Over the years, their customers have voiced the need for a manual that would enable them to do minor repairs themselves, or, at the very least, give them enough education to know whether or not a service tech had been properly educated. So in 2009, they published the 241-paged book, Average Joe’s RV Refrigerator Troubleshooting & Repair Guide. This first of its kind manual, supporting the “Going Green” movement, was written at the request of both consumers and service techs. From 2003 to 2009, editors from many RV technical magazines engaged them to write articles for their magazines and websites.
