BENTON, Ky. -- Ford RV Refrigeration now offers certified training in the field of RV refrigeration and has recently launched an association that will network reconditioning service centers together.
This network was created to provide nationwide warranty service to consumers. To become a member of the RVRN (Ford Procedure Network) Association requires certified training from Ford RV Refrigeration, which consists of 40 hours of training, and completion of a written and practical exam.
RVRN Reconditioning Service Center member will receive the following:
100 Mile Competitor Protection – Ford RV Refrigeration will not train or sell the specialized tools to anyone within a 100 mile area of your service center. Expanded territories are also available.
Product Discounts – Members receive discounts from the Ford RV catalog, Techdepot.com and others.
Nationwide Warranties for cooling units reconditioned – RVRN members honor each other’s reconditioning warranties.
Free Advertising – Promotions, business cards, and more.
Consumer Referrals from Home Office – Referrals from the RVRN Home Office to RV owners, RV clubs, Insurance Co., etc. when they are in your location.
According to Ford,100 percent of the membership fees are spent on promoting the RVRN Association and its members.
The RVRN Members warranty covers 100 percent of parts and labor spent on reconditioning for one full year and is transferable. In addition, the RVRN Home Office offers a lifetime warranty to RVRN member’s customers. This warranty can be offered because of the success rate of the Ford procedures, said Onna Lee Ford, vice president of Ford RV Refrigeration.
“Through dealer education, RV refrigerator cooling units can be reconditioned successfully, which opens doors for new jobs with educated service techs, networking, more profit for the service center, and a more economical choice for consumers,” she added. “Other companies are providing reconditioned cooling units to RV dealers, but their warranties only cover shipping and labor for 30 days,” “Our goal is to help RV dealers become RV refrigerator reconditioning service centers so that they become independent by taking care of their own refrigerator reconditioning and providing their own warranties. By joining the RVRN Network, they will be affiliated with other dealers that will honor their reconditioning warranties nationwide. In this manner, they will not be dependant on another company for warranty expenses such as shipping and labor.”
